Rock Center Sunday Night
Cindy and Tami made it into the city last night - it was a long, long journey for them, but they were troopers! We got dinner at Thalia (across the street) to round out my eating at all of my next door restaurants. It was quite good. Impressive - even though Tami's shrimp still had heads and eyes on them. (No likey)
We took a long walk - down to Times Square, up to Rockefeller Center, up 5th Avenue to Central Park - then a quick ride on the subway so they could get the feel for it. It was chilly and rainy, but a beautiful night and it was fun to watch them experience the city for the first time.
This morning, we had breakfast and then did the downtown tour on the hop-on-hop-off bus. Our tour guide was so-so, at best, so it wasn't a highlight for me, but it gave me a good idea of where I want to explore more downtown.

Waiting for the Studio Tour
The Columbus Day parade was today and I got to see just a little bit of it, because after the bus tour I needed a potty stop in a MAJOR way. We got off at Rock Center and found the bathroom after asking about 10 people for directions. We got a quick lunch to warm our tummies, then went to the NBC Studio tour.
Fallon was filming, so we didn't get to see his studio - but we saw: Dr. Oz, American Football Tonight, the Master Control Room and Saturday Night Live. Pretty interesting. They showed a movie of the history of NBC which was really well done.

Eating the macaroons!
Our next stop was a little chocolate shop we'd been eyeing last night. La Mansion du Chocolait. W.O.W! Is all I have to say. We bought these small macaroons that looked nice and innocent in the case, but the first bite sent us right into the divine heights of chocolate heaven. I can't even describe how wonderful these little yummies were. Seriously - the best cookie I've ever eaten in my life.
Tams and Cindy went out again to do shoe shopping and I to rest and blog. Tami really wants a burger for dinner so my job is to find a good burger joint while they are finding fabulous deals on shoes!!
